Nathan Chenyu Ding, RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) current BFA1 student, will talk about his first year college life on August 18th, 9:30 a.m., at ArtBox International Department.

Nathan Ding started to study at ArtBox International Department in 2014, and his direction was Architecture. He was accepted to RISD in 2017 and started his college life on September, 2017. Nathan is talented on almost all majors; and thus he chose Architecture—a major which combines maths and fine arts.
Rhode Island School of Design is a fine arts and design college located in Providence, in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. It has consistently been ranked among the best educational institutions in the world for art and design.
Ding’s artwork is pioneering but also sophisticated. His artwork always connects nature and philosophy, which shows his distinctive insight towards the world. For instance, Ding’s architecture model Ovals Conceptual Building is an idea that based on the shape of cobblestones.

Apart from architecture, Ding is also a painter with his own style. His architecture sketches look neat but also inspiring. As to say, it is Ding’s personality and style that make his architecture design artsy and rational as well.

Enthusiastic, talented, strenuous… it was because of all those good qualities that help Nathan Ding get accepted by RISD eventually. However, when everyone thought Ding would start his college life as an architecture student, Ding changed his direction into Industrial and Product Design and Film/Animation after one year of studying in RISD.
