Before college entrance examination, school life was so intense that doodling on my sketchbook became something important in my spare time.
I prefer to depict those special moments in my illustration, so I usually use marker pens to color my drawings since it’s faster and more colorful.
Just like all other artists, I will experience artist’s block sometimes as well. To solve that problem, I will practice figure drawing intentionally when I don’t know what to draw. I also joined a doodling group with some of my friends, and we doodle freely based on specific elements every time. It helped me to improve my skills and practice drawing things I don’t normally draw; it also helped me to get into the habit of observing different objects and gathering ideas from real life.
After college entrance examination, I spent more time on my original character designs and I tried to draw serial illustrations for them.
I really like to find ideas from real life. In my opinion, the process of drawing is not just expressing myself, but also connecting myself with my inner feeling, and creating something new to make people happy.
